Brief

Good Food Ireland requested a total redesign of thier existing site. Something more contemporary that not only focused on food and recipes but let the end user have more control over the sites content.

Original Site & Wireframes

To start I began by examining the previous site. By analysing its sturcture and content I got a feel for how the site could be upgraded for a better end user experience. Then I created wireframes for prominent pages like the recipe, home, blog and shop pages.

Design

Content is the key to the success of Good Food Irelands site so I took a very minimalist approach to the design. A lot of thought was put into typography as the site is text heavy. The focus is always kept on the user uploaded content, their images, recipes and products. There is as little visual noise as possible.
